UPDATE: 4/1/21 Unfortunately Corkie passed away this morning. He fought hard but his little heart just wasn’t strong enough. Not only did he have a bad leg deformity he also had a heart birth defect that we didn’t know about. Corkie got to know what love was and lived his best life while he was on this earth. He is missed terribly and will always be within our hearts.
Corkie aka Chicken Little is the newest member of our flock and is a baby Lutino Cockatiel. He/she is a special needs baby as he has a really bad splayed/deformed left leg that has not been able to be corrected. Corkie joined our family a week ago today at the approximate age of 5-6 weeks. I am hand-feeding him and he has also been dabbling in millet and pellets. I have been working with him daily to help develop the muscles in both legs.
